Volunteer In Mission Teams
 
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We are currently looking for volunteers for the English Camp and Plzen Construction Teams (see below for details). Two volunteers are also needed to travel to Vimperk, Czech Republic. Vimperk is a new, small congregation and they would like to have a summer program for children, age 7-8, perhaps something like the English Camp or the VBS. Contact the district office if you are interested.
 
Since beginning our In Mission Together partnership with the Czech Republic in 2006, nine Volunteer in Mission Teams have traveled to the Czech Republic to teach, lead Vacation Bible School, participate in construction projects, connect with our Czech partners, and share God's love.
 
The following trips are planned for 2008. Please support these teams with your prayers and financial assistance.
 
  • Spring School  + March 28 - April 5 +  Brno. Three pastors will travel to Brno to lead a week of continuing education for Czech pastors.
  • Vacation Bible School + July 3 - 12 + Brno, Plzen, Tachov. Approximately 16 people will travel together to Prague, then separate to three locations to lead Vacation Bible School.
  • Sports Camp + July 26 - August 3 + Litomerice. A team of 10 will teach baseball to Czech youth and train Czech adults to coach.
  • English Camp + July 26 - August 3 + Slany. Six to ten individuals will teach English to persons of ages, and join them in fun, fellowship and worship.
  • Construction Team + September 5-14 + Plzen. This team will return to Holy Hill to continue renovation of this halfway house for recovering addicts.
  • Construction Team + October + Protivin. Volunteers will continue work on a new Community Center.
